summery:
Humans of the milky way are relatives of the Laurasians (parahumans) and they share a common ancestor that being homo erectus, the most common species of human in the milky way is homo sapiens as they were spread to many worlds to be used as hosts for terani larvae although other human species do exist and are the result of the Vaalbarans who used homo lauresiensis as slaves but these non-sapien humans are rare in the milky way.

History:

Homo sapiens evolved on Earth in the pleistocene and quickly over a few hundred thousand years became the dominant species of the planet; they absorbed the other human species of earth at the time into their population and became the only human species left on earth.

Around 200,000 years ago Earth was discovered by the Terani and the Terani discovered that humans lived a lot longer than their natural host (the Lepids) and by taking humans as hosts instead of Lepids the Terani could have a far more productive larval stage as they are only able to operate machines in their larval stage using a host, as the adult terani do not have hands or anything.

So humans were taken by the Terani and put on around 5000 worlds over the course of 200,000 years and these humans were allowed to build civilizations and live independently but every 1000 years the Terani would come back to a given planet and harvest a large proportion of the human population to be used as hosts for Terani larvae, they had enough human worlds that no one world would be harvested more than once every thousand years.

In the year 2088 the Terani returned to earth to harvest its human population, there was a massive conflict but ultimately and predictably the aliens won and ¼ of Terran humanity was stolen. This led to a second space race fueled by humanty’s desire for revenge, The USA which had struggled to stay relevant even before the bugs came collapsed into 50 nation states much like the soviet union had. China then became the earth’s biggest superpower and spearheaded the collective human mission to conquer the stars and take revenge on the bugs who had stolen the Earth’s people

In 2154 terran humanity created its first warp drive but the humans didn’t know how it worked as it was created with AI, and as such the mechanism behind it was completely unknown to the humans that utilised it.

The Earth humans started to colonise other planets that were seeded with life (by the Vaalbarans) and these planets obviously had earth-type organisms on them as they were seeded with life from eocene earth 50 million years ago.

Humanity could easily adapt to the conditions of these worlds as they weren’t extremely different to the conditions of the Earth

However in the year 2171 the humans encountered a civilization of their own species living on a planet called Kepler-186f and the humans of Kepler-186f were not as technologically advanced as the humans from earth as they never had the opportunity to go through an industrial revolution due to there being no fossil fuels on Kepler-186f.

The humans of Kepler-186f were quickly taken advantage of and absorbed into the Earth human civilization now called the United systems, many of the humans from Kepler-186f died due to being exposed to earth diseases and their world was annexed into the United systems and in similar to the doctrine of manifest destiny it was said to be inevitable by the media.

The United systems found many other planets with humans on them and they learnt what the Terani had done, this fuelled a new wave of christianity that swept through the civilization claiming that humanity was the true children of god and that aliens were demonic. This christian doctrine was forced onto the humans of dozens of worlds and it was part of a much bigger assimilationist plan that desired to bring all of humanity under 1 flag.

Eventually most of the humans in the galaxy became part of the united systems and the Terani were for the most part defeated by the 25th century this however left humanity under a theocratic authoritarian regime until the cult of tera Gondia found their way to the milky way in the early 2400s and started their own crusade to assimilate humanity this lead to other M81 powers to enter the Milky way and an uneasy truce emerged between the united systems and the Nuna and due to having the Nuna around the united systems had to start adopting more liberal policies as the theocratic authoritarianism wasn’t going to be tolerated by the Nuna and the Nuna were far more advanced than the United systems so a conflict wouldn’t end well for humans of earth.

(the reason the gondia came to the milky way to attack humanity was because a lone Gondia called Theia Fraisure Osmund had found her way to earth in the early 20th century via a Nuna Transportation device and after Theia died and and when she reincarnated in the 2400s the Gondia managed to get the location of earth from her, and then the location of earth quickly became common knowledge to the forces of M81)

united systems facts:

-the united systems found the Terani again in the year 2165 and a war broke out that lasted for centuries until the humans took the role of dominant species in their part of the Milky way Galaxy

-the after Ai was developed in the early 21st century the humans of earth started utilising it for almost all technological progression after that point and everyone other than the extremely upper class was assigned to do manual labour completely destroying the concept of the middle class, but the terrans and other humans they annexed were told that they would be rewarded in heaven after they died

-in the early 22nd century all AIs were merged into this system called the Oracle which humanity believed could interpret the commands of god and they ended up believing that God communicated with the united systems through this AI, The Oracle's job was to interpret the bible and give humanity instructions that  they believed came from god and the Oracle also came up with new technologies like FTL which the humans believed were given to them by god, but the oracle was also highly influenced by the ruling class descending from the billionaires of the early 21st century who had since became the nobility of the united systems

-in the united systems minority groups were heavily oppressed, women were not permitted to work and had to stay at home making babies and obeying thier husbands or if they didnt have a husband they had to obey thier father, LGBT people were outlawed, and worshipping any religion other than this warped version of Christianity was punishable by death so muslims, jews, pagans, etc had to go "underground" and had to hide their practises and beliefs from larger society

-there are 4 classes in united systems society, either you are a worker/soldier that obeys the priests and does manual labour, or you are a priest that evangelises to the population, or you are a rare noble who actually runs society, or you are a woman and you essentially are owned by your husband/father
